Queen’s University Belfast, specifically the School of Biological Sciences and the Institute for Global Food Security, is currently in search of an exceptional applicant to become a part of the AMR & One Health Lab and the Huws group as a Research Assistant. This is a position that is part-time and will have a set duration of 18 months or until 30/09/2024, whichever comes first.

The chosen candidate will work in collaboration with a team of professionals from various disciplines to conduct research and develop alternate non-antibiotic methods for managing antimicrobial resistance in bovine mastitis. BBSRC Canada iPAP is funding this initiative.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will partner with project associates from the University of Calgary and our industrial partner, RAFT Solutions, to formulate innovative antibiotic-free intramammary antimicrobial peptide (AMP) formulations, also known as IAFs.
