AUSTRALIA AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP 2023

Scholarship details:

The Australia Grants Africa Scholarship Program includes Masters, Fellowships, and Short Course programs to enhance skills and capabilities in critical sectors, ultimately supporting social and economic development outcomes for African countries and the Sustainable Development Goals.

By enhancing African leadership and expertise in areas like agriculture and food security, climate change and adaptation, renewable energy, mining governance, and countering terrorism and violent extremism, Australia Awards directly support Australia’s interests in the security, stability, and prosperity of the African continent.

In a number of ways, the Australia Awards Africa program advances and aids Australian development and economic diplomacy goals. Alumni use their newly acquired skills to advance their nation.
 Africa values and respects Australia as a trustworthy partner and source of knowledge, and Australian and African organizations and individuals establish connections that lead to long-term collaborations and future cooperation.

Those that are chosen will be contacted in late 2023. The Australian Government’s requirements, as decided by the federal Department of Education, as well as the requirements of the relevant state and territory governments, must be met in order to travel.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AUSTRALIA AWARD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM QUALIFICATION:

• High caliber, mid-level to senior level professional applicants from the public, business, and community sectors are eligible for Australia Awards (civil society).
• Applications from women, individuals with disabilities, and members of marginalized groups are especially encouraged.
• The minimum amount of time required for the recipient to finish the academic program defined by the Australian educational institution, including any prerequisite training, is provided by Australia Grants Africa scholarships.

Eligibility:

Participants from the following countries will be able to apply for the 2024 intake: Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, The Gambia, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Benefit:

The Australia Scholarship Program for African Students is a fully funded scholarship opportunity that covers Tuition, Living expenses, returning by air expenses, a one-time arrival-only establishment allowance, international student health insurance, additional academic assistance, and fieldwork allowance for coursework master’s students and research students for whom fieldwork is a required component.
