The St George’s Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme

The St George’s Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme awards 6 scholarships to both home (UK/EU) and international (non-EU) students. The scholarship covers the full-time tuition fee cost at the home (UK/EU) rate.  international students will have to pay the difference between the tuition for home students and international students. The awards are paid directly to the university.

Global Health MSc international student scholarship

This scholarship is offered to an international student from a low to middle income country studying Global Health in the university. The scholarship is offered annually. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, as well as a maintenance grant of £17,000 to cover living expenses.

Physician Associate Studies MPAS Scholarships

This scholarship is offered to students on the Physician Associate Studies MPAS. Both home (UK/EU) and international (non-EU) students are eligible to apply. The value of this scholarship is £3,000. The scholarship will be paid towards the first year of study. The scholarship application for this scholarship should include the relevant supporting documentation required by the program applied to, such as references, transcripts and English language scores. Eligibility for the St George’s University of London Postgraduate Scholarships

For consideration for the St George’s Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme or the Global Health MSc International Student Scholarships, you must meet the following criteria:

Apply to study a taught postgraduate course, full time or part time.

Not already be qualified at Master’s level or above, (e.g. PhD).

Recipient should not receive funding for their studies from an external source such as a government, a company, employer or scholarship board

Applicants must have obtained at least a 2:1.

Scholarship is based on academic performance. Students with the highest scores across all courses will be considered for the scholarship. Academic performance is calculated based on the applicant’s degree classification, personal statement, interview and references.

3. Howard Trustee Scholarships

The Howard trustee scholarship is available for students with a  3.0% grade point average. Applicants must  be enrolled full-time at Howard and require financial assistance.

4. The Frederick Douglass Scholarship Program

This scholarship was established in order to recruit fresh Ph.D. candidates. Only candidates who demonstrate exceptional academic promise will be considered for this award. Students must be at least 35 years old to enroll in one of Howard’s PhD programs.

Applicants must also demonstrate an interest in pursuing a higher education. The program provides students with $15,000 each year for five years. As a result, the candidate may win $75,000 from this award.
In addition to the scholarship, the student will get an extra US $1,000 per year to help with research.
