GREAT Scholarships 2023-24 are available for any taught Master’s programme at the following institutions.

The GREAT Scholarships 2023-24 are now open for application to any taught Master’s programme at the universities listed below. These scholarships offer an exceptional opportunity to students from 14 countries who will receive £10,000 towards their tuition fees for a range of one-year taught postgraduate courses.

In the upcoming academic year of 2023-24, 49 universities located in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will offer 200 scholarships.

GREAT Scholarships are available to students from the following countries. To see which scholarships are on offer in your country, see below:

  • Pakistan
  • Thailand

Each scholarship is jointly funded by the British Council and the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, in collaboration with participating UK higher education institutions.

In addition, GREAT scholars will be invited to attend a welcome event in the first semester and a networking event in the second semester as part of the programme.

The universities offering these scholarships are Edge Hill University, Imperial College London, University of Manchester, University of Bath, University of York and University of Kent.

Eligibility:

  • To be eligible for the GREAT scholarship, you must be a citizen of one of the aforementioned countries and have an undergraduate degree.
  • Additionally, you must meet the English Language requirement of the UK Higher Education Institution and establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar through personal and academic fulfilment.
  • You must also be willing to attend a networking event of all UK based GREAT scholars to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK, and maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI, as well as act as an ambassador for the GREAT scholarships.
