This project aims to investigate the effectiveness of commercially available edible enrichment to reduce injurious pecking in pullets and laying hens in non-cage housing.

The project will conduct field studies to examine birds’ motivation to interact with edible enrichment, the feasible location(s) within the system, and quantify effects on integument damage in pullets laying hens and production outcomes throughout lay.
